35mm monochromatic film These images taken 1994-1995 captures the daily life of a group of people who had one thing in common; an addiction to heroin. The story captures Jane, her family and friends from relaxing in the squat to begging on the streets, to going to see their dealers to shooting up and the continuation of the vicious cycle. My reason for the documentary was to get to know the person who was just seen as a ‘beggar’ and to gain some understanding to their life. Twenty-five years on and I’m still documenting their story.
